#FBF: Saudi Royal Family Used To Be Treated In University College Hospital Ibadan In The 1960s

How amazing!

The University College Hospital, UCH, based in Ibadan used to be a medical Mecca for even the royal families of Saudi Arabia.

Nigerian ‘common sense’ Senator and CEO, Silverbird group, Ben Murray-Bruce once shared a touching throwback photo of University College Hospital, Ibadan in the early 60s.

Professor Pat Utomi also confirmed this in a Facebook post.

This was the golden era of Nigerian Medicine.

UCH was the brainchild and was realized the handiwork of the 1st Surgeon in Africa of native African origin, Sir Samuel Manuwa (1903-1976).

Nigeria’s glory needs to be restored, right?
