Cooking Tip: How To Keep Your Onions From Browning When Frying

Have you ever tried to fry eggs and start with onions before other vegetables but before you know it, your onions have burnt beyond recognition?

Or you probably want to make some sauce and knowing the sort of flavour onion adds to your stew, decide to add some, you add onions to the hot oil and next thing it’s so brown that you see spots of the dark brown onions all over your stew?

Here’s the trick:

Simply sprinkle some salt to your hot oil before adding the onions and you can ‘travel’ to come back to your onions nicely fried without burning.

Simple, right?
