The seafood okra soup pictured above was gotten from L’Afric restaurant on Sanusi Fafunwa street in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
It contains 2 halved pieces of a fairly large snail, two jumbo prawns, some calamari pieces and many pieces of this thick dried fish (not sure what the name is).
The okra was slightly crunchy, which meant it wasn’t overcooked.
It was of course, spiced with some pepper and the yummiest part of it is that it’s oil-free. This makes it a more attractive option for those who want to reduce their oil intake.
A portion is about 2 litres of soup and it comes with any swallow of your choice. It is very filling.
You may choose to make a homemade version of this slimy soup for yourself and add whatever else you like, for the weekend.
My verdict? Erm, 9/10!
